OK...so here's how the interview went:

I was 15 minutes early and Nina had completely forgotten that I was coming...so I started out in the office of a head manager type dude and she came in later.

If anything, they're very friendly people...but they're not really looking for a graphic designer. In fact, they think that graphic designers are a dime a dozen (which is essentially true these days).

They're looking for a managerial type person to oversee the downtown location and coordinate communication between it and the Industrial park location. I would be doing some (but not much) design, but mostly customer service, sales, management of the current employees (including their current graphic designer) as well as some production (which means I'd have to learn all of their machines and programs). Soo...essentially I'd be doing what I do at Gardner, but on a higher, more organized level (of course anything is more organized than Gardner...FAST FOOD is more organized than Gardner)...

The big plus is that I'd have health benefits and a considerable hike in pay. They haven't given me a figure yet, but they said it's much more than what I'm making now. In fact, their jaws dropped when they found out that I got paid so little and had no benefits.

So at this point I'm supposed to fill out the application, and call to let them know when I'm dropping it off so that they can arrange for me to meet the owner. I think that's a good thing.

It was definitely a positive meeting...nothing too embarrassing. Pretty informal. I'm just chicken shit and worried that I can't handle the responsibility (although I could definitely handle the pay)...
